WO~MENS HAVEN

Privacy Policy

Version 1.2.1 · Effective 31 August 2026

1. Who we are

WO~MENS HAVEN ("we", "us") operates the peer-support community and doctor consultation marketplace available via sisters-haven.com and app.sisters-haven.com. For personal data processed in connection with the Platform, WO~MENS HAVEN is the data controller, unless we tell you otherwise for a specific processing activity.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal data when you use our mobile application, websites, peer-support rooms, private nurse messaging, short-lived story updates, Live Spaces, bookmarks, consultation booking, messaging, payments, and related services. It is intended to meet applicable privacy and data-protection requirements, including Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), and other laws that may apply to you based on where you live.

3. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the Platform, we may process: account data (name, email, phone, country, date of birth for 18+ eligibility, gender for room access, role, membership status); profile photo and (for doctors and nurses) credentials, license information, facility details, bio, rates, and application documents; messages and attachments in peer rooms, consultation chats, and private Ask-a-nurse threads; short-lived story photo or video updates (and captions) you share in Communities; Live Spaces session details (topic, schedule, flyer), live session chat, and audio or video when you join or host (processed through our realtime session providers); bookmarks (message identifiers you save); flags for complimentary features (free nurse message or first-consult discount used); emergency/safety alert submissions (including photos or short videos you attach); consultation and payment metadata (amounts, discounts, references, method — card/MoMo details are handled by payment providers such as Paystack; app-store membership billing, optional clinician hosting-pack purchases, and entitlements are handled by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat); approximate (coarse) location if you allow it to suggest your country during signup; device/app data needed for security (session, biometrics preference, push tokens); and usage and moderation signals (reports, blocks, strikes, account status, post-limit counters).

4. Why we process data

We process data to provide accounts, free and Premium rooms, nurse messaging, bookmarks, stories, Live Spaces, consultations, and payments; verify doctor and nurse credentials and operate the marketplace (including payouts and refunds); enforce fair-use limits and Premium entitlements disclosed in the app; detect crisis-language matches and alert our psychological/safety team; moderate for safety and enforce Community Guidelines; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; and improve reliability.

5. Legal bases (where applicable)

Where required by law, we rely on one or more of: your consent; performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating a safe platform and marketplace (balanced against your rights); and compliance with legal obligations.

6. Sharing

We may share data with infrastructure providers (hosting, database, auth, storage), payment and billing partners (including Paystack, Apple, Google, and RevenueCat), realtime audio/video session providers (for Live Spaces and telehealth consultations), designated safety/psychological responders for elevated/urgent crisis matches, verified nurses or doctors when you message or book them, and professional advisors and authorities when required by law or to protect vital interests. We do not sell your personal data.

7. International transfers

Servers or vendors may process data outside your country. We take reasonable steps to protect data in line with applicable requirements.

8. Retention

We retain account and safety records as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations. Chat media may auto-expire on a shorter schedule. Story media expires on the schedule disclosed in the app (typically within 24 hours). Live Spaces listings may remain visible for a short period after a session ends as disclosed in-product. Soft-deleted messages may be retained for moderation/forensic review. Bookmarks are kept until you remove them or your account is deleted under our deletion process.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. Contact [email protected]. You may also contact the Data Protection Commission (Ghana) or your local supervisory authority where applicable. In the app, you can schedule account deletion from Profile (subject to a disclosed grace period before permanent deletion).

10. Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit (TLS), and role-based admin access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy and ask you to accept a new version when material changes affect you.

13. Contact

Privacy requests: [email protected]. Data Protection Commission (Ghana) or your local supervisory authority may also be contacted where applicable.
